Carl Wu was a university lecturer before he came to New Zealand in 1996.
He had humble beginnings in New Zealand working as cleaner, kitchen hand, factory worker. He was finally able to go back to university for further study, allowing him to make a career change into a librarian.
He started property investment in 2005, building up a solid portfolio even before he joined Ronovationz in 2011. Since then his portfolio has expanded dramatically to enable him to quit his full time job that he held for 15 years. So far has more than 20 properties under his belt.
Carl was a board of trustee member of his children’s school. He is a choir member of Music Association of Auckland. He also serves as Vice President of Auckland Chinese Families Network.
Carl is keen to share his investment knowledge and help those who want to realize their home ownership dream, or climb up the property investment ladder steadily and safely.

What are your hobbies?
My hobbies are jogging and reading, I also take great pleasure in singing and am a choir member of The Music Association of Auckland.
Out of these, I enjoy reading the most. Reading consumes most of my free time. However, through this hobby, I’ve learnt to be self-motivated which has helped me increase my knowledge, especially in property investment.
Why are you a property coach?
After building a solid property portfolio of my own, the passive income I was earning began to outweigh what I was earning working full time from my previous job. I felt this was an opportunity to share my knowledge and to help other like-minded people achieve their financial freedom so they too can become just as successful as myself.
What is your biggest motivation?
Other than providing security for my family, my other huge motivation is helping my students. I help guide them to successfully build their portfolios so they too can provide freedom and security for their own families.
